Mr Trotter was open, honest and direct with me, which I appreciated as a medical student. He created trust within 5 minutes of our first consultation and was courteous before and after my operation; his confidence matched only by his compassion. I have no doubt of his skill and experience as an ENT surgeon, not least because my operation was a success, but because his predictions for the timescales of the aftermath and recovery, were amusingly accurate. Mr Trotter saw my three year old daughter who had enlarged tonsils and had been choking when eating a consequence, She was also struggling with her hearing. Mr Trotter engaged very well with her and explained everything very clearly to myself and my husband. We attended three appointments with Mr Trotter and my daughter had several hearing tests. Her hearing improved over time and her tonsils reduced in size as Mr Trotter predicted. A year down the line, the end result was unnecessary surgery wasn't carried out and my 4 year old daughter was signed off a happy little girl looking forward to going to school!
